The Haunting of Hill House là sự tái hiện hiện đại của cuốn tiểu thuyết huyền thoại cùng tên của Shirley Jackson, kể về năm anh chị em lớn lên trong ngôi nhà ma ám nổi tiếng nhất nước Mỹ. Giờ đây, những người trưởng thành, họ đoàn tụ bởi cái chết của cô em gái út, điều này buộc họ cuối cùng phải đối mặt với những bóng ma trong quá khứ của chính mình … một số ẩn nấp trong tâm trí họ … và một số thực sự có thể ẩn nấp trong bóng tối của Ngôi nhà trên đồi mang tính biểu tượng. Chính những con người ám ảnh người xem hơn cả những hồn ma, và việc nhấn mạnh những câu chuyện về người sống là điều khiến chương trình kinh dị của Netflix trở nên sống động. Bộ truyện không đáng sợ nhưng rất hay, anh em thật tuyệt chỉ có anh lớn là rất khó chịu, nhưng dù sao. Kịch bản rất hay, bộ hay nhất từ 2018 tới giờ.
Đây là bộ film kinh dị mà các fan kinh dị không nên bỏ qua bởi tính xây dựng nhân vật quá sâu sắc. Bắt đầu với episode đầu, bạn sẽ cảm nhận được lối kể chuyện rất khác và cuốn hút. Bạn phải thốt lên rằng “oh shit, it’s real” mỗi khi thấy “ma” trong phim. Không chỉ đem lại sự kinh ngạc của bộ film kinh dị mà bộ film còn giúp bạn có sự thấu hiểu tâm lý một cách sâu sắc về từng nhân vật trong film. Review: Phim kể về thời niên thiếu của Norman Bates và quá trình diễn biến tâm sinh lý phức tạp để trở thành một tên sát nhân hàng loạt nổi tiếng trong lịch sử điện ảnh. Lại ấy bối cảnh đương đại pha chút retro time frame là thời tiền dậy thì của Norman nhưng “Bates Motel”. Bộ film chủ yếu xoay quanh cuộc sống của hai mẹ con bà Norma và thanh niên Norman nhưng không được normal. Mối quan hệ mẹ con này thân thiết một cách kỳ lạ kể từ lúc ít bệnh cho đến lúc bệnh trở nặng. Con người Norma luôn tồn tại 2 con người: chính bản thân mình và nửa còn lại là mẹ của Norma. Ở lần phát bệnh đầu tiên và gây án, vì quá thương con nên người mẹ chọn cách che giấu cho tội lỗi của Norman. Sau khi tiến hành xử lý xong thì hai mẹ con chuyển đến một thị trấn ven biển làm lại cuộc đời. Họ mua lại một khách sạn cũ để sống và kinh doanh. Mọ rắc rối bắt đầu từ đây, những tội ác bí ẩn và rùng rợn liên tiếp xảy ra.

Bộ film kể về những nhân vật đi cướp đều là những người nghiệp dư, biến cái không thể thành có thể, biến lý thuyết thành thực tế. Đầu tiên, ở Season 1 và 2 họ đã cướp nhà băng chỉ vì không muốn phải sống một cuộc đời nghèo khổn, lẩn trốn, đã có tiền án nhưng luôn can đảm để chống lại chính quyền.
